When I had the gym at the start, I hated selling
Seriously, I’d sit there in consultations hoping they’d just say yes without me having to actually ask
& when they said:
🗣️ “I need to think about it”
🗣️ “It’s too expensive”
I’d completely freeze 🥶
Sound familiar?
Here’s the thing: I was overcomplicating it 🫣
Selling isn’t about being pushy or slick
It’s about understanding what the client really wants & guiding them towards it
So, here are a few tips that helped me go from fumbling through sales to actually enjoying the process:
1️⃣ Qualify Your Leads
Stop trying to convince everyone
Ask the right questions upfront to see if they’re the right fit
2️⃣ Sell the Outcome, Not the Service
People don’t buy memberships, PT sessions, or BootCamp spots
They buy the results 💪
• feeling confident
• losing weight
• having more energy
Focus on that transformation
3️⃣ Don’t Fear Objections
Objections aren’t a “no”
They’re just questions your leads need answered before they’re ready
Handle them calmly and show them why your offer is worth it 👊
4️⃣ Follow Up Properly
This one’s massive 💷
Most sales happen after 5+ follow-ups, but most people quit after 1 or 2
Get a system in place to stay in touch without being annoying
(this is why you need LeadDec 😎)
5️⃣ Always Give a Clear CTA
Want them to book a consultation?
Sign up for a trial?
Commit to a membership?
Make it crystal clear what they need to do next
The better you get at this, the more confident you’ll feel, & the more predictable your revenue will become 💪
