On a cold February morning in 2018

I saw a post online from someone in Cardiff who wanted to get out of their gym lease

​

At the time, I was working out of a gym in Southampton

​

Business was doing well, but I knew I was ready for the next step

​

So I cancelled all my classes for the day

​

Told Holly I was going to work

​

And drove 2.5 hours to Cardiff without telling her why

​

Had a quick look around the unit

​

Spoke to the lady who owned it

​

And decided on the spot 🫣 I’ll take it

​

I didn’t ask for time to think

​

Didn’t run the numbers properly

​

Just trusted my gut

​

I transferred £1,000 right there as a deposit

​

Then sat in the car thinking… what the hell have I just done

​

Drove 2.5 hours back to Southampton, completely in my own head

​

Worrying about how I was going to break the news to Holly 😬

​

The next day, I told her everything

​

I expected her to lose her shit 🤯

​

But all she said was

​

“Okay then, let’s do it”

​

That moment changed our lives

​

We packed the car

​

Moved to Cardiff

​

And as they say… the rest is history

​
